Dynamix sends two to D-Day in South Africa
Have you ever wondered how top speedball players would fare in scenario events? Craig Marley and Chris England from South Africa’s top team, Dynamix, recently put aside their C12 outfits and picked up Dye Tactical gear for the D-Day Scenario hosted by U-Tac Paintball in Cape Town, South Africa. Marley gives us his perspective of the event:
As a player of Dynamix, one of South Africa’s best speedball teams, I never thought I would find myself at U-Tac Paintball in South Africa playing in one of the biggest scenario events in the country… D-Day. Fellow Dynamix player, Chris England and I got an amazing Dye Tactical set up and joined the Allies to take down the Axis!
The event had an amazing turnout of over 350 players from all over the country! Being two of the top speedball players in the country, we thought we would do really well. We were wrong. Running through and diving into the sandy trenches of the high standard Bladed & Triggers battleground was anything but easy and the field provided plenty of towers and bunkers for the stubborn Axis to camp in. Smoke grenades were flying all over the place, paint grenades splattering everything in sight and an onslaught of paintballs continuously flying our way made it feel like a real war! Chris and I were assigned as heavy gunners so we put our DM12s in uncapped PSP mode and laid down cover fire for our troops advancing up the beach. Both sides were exhausted after such a grueling day of paintball, however by a narrow margin the Allies emerged victorious!
We would like to thank Blades & Triggers along with U-Tac Paintball for hosting the amazing event. Thank you to Dye Tactical for providing us with some of paintball’s most awesome tactical gear. You can look forward to Dynamix participating in the event again next year!
