Incredible Story – Dye Rotor Survives Car Fire, Still Works!

Thursday, June 27th, 2013

The title says it all.  George Bel, a school teacher who picked the wrong day to leave his windows cracked in the faculty parking lot, was the victim of a horrible finals week retaliation by one of his students.  However, rising from the flames was this incredible story of a Dye Rotor proving it’s durability even in the most extreme environments.

by George Bel

“Working as a teacher has its perks. One of those perks is that you get to do lots of great things with the kids.  For example,  I was trying to start up a paintball club at our school. Out of eight potentially interested students, there were six Dye owners, and at one point we were trying to put together a proposal to hopefully get sponsored by you guys.

Being a teacher also has its downs, however… I’ve learned the hard way that I should never park my car in the staff teachers parking spots with my windows open, no matter how hot it gets. Some disgruntled student decided to torch a teachers car indiscriminately, and I was the lucky winner of that raffle.

I lost everything in there, including my izon sight, but my Rotor miraculously lived, and works just fine! Thank goodness I left my Dye Dam at home that day, I would have cried if I lost that guy.”

MPOC # 4

A “WOW!” for Team Duckside. The Team emerged as champions at the Fourth Leg Of Malaysia Paintball Official Circuit (MPOC) 2013.  We are happy that our hard work and determination have paid off!

With this win, we succeeded in rank 1st in the overall line up.  However, without the side line support from our sponsors – DYE Precision and 89 Arena Paintball, and the amazing participating teams, we would not be where we are now.

With this humble thought, we would like to share our happiness and this champion trophy with all our beloved supporters out there. Despite the streaking heat and the heavy haze, they gave us unconditional help and guidance during the games.

Till we all meet again soon, Next game… Be Safe, Play Safe. Take care. CHEERS!

Team Absinthe Grabs 3rd Place at Paintball Russian Cup

Thursday, June 27th, 2013

With 9 teams from all over Russia competing for the 2nd round title, Absinthe just missed the gold but still managed to take the podium.  Here’s the full story from Absinthe:

“In the first round The Absinthe team prevailed The Legion team with score 2:1, the game was very hard.

The second round we lost to B.O.L.T.  with a score of 0:3

The third round was the hardest. Chupacabra team was our main competitor in order to out of the group and at that moment had no defeats in the group.  To the first game we went out in four – one of our players never made it out of the pit-area. Immediately after running up we stay in three against five and we prevailed! Due to our game tactics we won with 3:0

The fourth round with Molotov light team was ended with our victory scored 3:0

After the prelims, we out of the group to semifinal from the second place in the group.

In the semifinal we played against the Stalker team. The first round longs 5 min 40 sec, where the Stalker team becomes winners. The second round is without scores. The third round didn’t take place. As a result the Absinthe team lost to the Stalker team with score 1:0

In the struggle for the 3-rd place we fought with the Banda team. They are the finalists of The Paintball Russian Cup 2012. In the first game in a minute there was only one our player and it was made a decision to stop the game in order to save time.

Afterwords there were two stressful victorious fights and one of them was without scores.

It was only 40 sec for the last round and the Banda team refused to go to the field.

We prevailed with scores 3:1″

Nexus | Back 2 Back CPPS Champions

Thursday, June 27th, 2013

Another rainy day at the CPPS…

Out of the 6 tournaments we have played so far this year, 4 of them have been in the rain. In fact I’m starting to feel like I need to pack a snorkel in my kitbag.

Nonetheless we got down to business on a typically wet English Summers day for Round3 of the CPPS series.

Although its not a classic ‘Nexus-style’ layout, I feel we understand the nature of this field quite well. We gave a dominant performance on the day, winning all four of our group games, and the final against fellow pro team Birmingham Disruption, only dropping a total of 4 points in the day.

Flawless equipment goes a long way to making winning possible, and the DM13s, Rotors, I4s and CG Paintballs were just that.

I’d also like to congratulate the other teams who were successful with DYE CG paint this weekend; Bad Moji, who actually won two tournaments in two days with CG, Team Spank, who came 2nd in D2 using CG, Durham DV8 who continued their dominant form in the UK Masters, and OTP who also took a podium finish at the Masters event.

The next stop for Nexus is Milan, Italy, for the CPS series Round3 where we continue our preparations for the Millennium Series event in Basildon where we want to improve upon our 3rd place finish in Bitburg.

Bravo Company wins the 4th Event of the GBS held in South Africa

Wednesday, June 26th, 2013

Team Bravo Company from South Africa recently won the 4th event of the Gauteng Bushball Series held at Paintball City in South Africa. Len Nery from Bravo

Company gave us a report of the event.

“The tournament attracted 12 teams comprising of seven playing members with two reserve players and was run using a round robin into single elimination format.

Thanks to the accuracy of our DYE Assault Matrix (DAM) markers, we didn’t lose a single game throughout the day and we rounded it off with a resounding 7 – 0

victory over our closest rivals in the finals equating to an emphatic overall win!

During the prize giving ceremony it was announced that Bravo Company broke two field records and won the prize for the two fastest games of the day by eliminating all seven of the opposing team in a time of 1 minute 40 seconds on the Village Field and 2 minutes 20 seconds on the Castle Field.

Paintball City Germiston and its staff provided the perfect platform for another outstanding tournament at a world class venue and it seems fitting that Bravo Company reached an important milestone at this event by coming the first team to win every tournament entered during 2013 in addition to securing first place overall in two league events (the Gauteng Bushball Series and the Tactical Paintball Series) within the first half of the year.

The enormous growth of this sport has seen more and more tournaments being held to cater for all the tactical bush teams and this has translated into two recognized series events each attracting up to 16 teams per event. In addition, there will be a South African Cup final for all qualifying teams to determine the best Tactical Bushball team in South Africa. The event will be held during the first week of December 2013 at Gariep Dam situated in the centre of South Africa.

Using our Dye Assault Matix markers, Bravo company aim to step onto the top step of that podium!”
