Story by Team HULK

From 13 to 15 September, in the last stage of the European Championship, Millennium Paintball held a grand event – the World Championship, which was attended by 24 national teams from different continents.

The eight seeded teams ( they are the same – the best teams of their continents) – USA , Canada , Russia , France , Germany , Great Britain, Iran and Malaysia are automatically put in the 1/ 8 finals where their rivals were expecting .

Our team started with the qualification, where rival was to be the Greek national team, but because of absence, Greece received an automatic loss, and our team came in top eight.

At the stage of eighth Ukrainian, our team got a difficult opponent, one of the best teams in Europe, the German team, represented by two teams of pro- division. In spite of this, the Ukrainian team was able to demonstrate his best game and won the confidence of Germans 4-1, which was a particular sensation. The Belgians also created a sensation by beating the best team in Europe, the Russian team 4-1!

In the final quarter of Ukrainians went to a familiar rival, the French national team, with which our team played in the group stage of the European Championship. A few lingering gameness Ukrainians do not have enough experience only to realize their numerical advantage and bring the match to win! Ukraine has lost, but lost her dignity and the game was worthy of respect, even fans of the French team! The final eighth place in the world among teams; let us look to the future with quite a degree of optimism!

At the last stage of the championship no serious problems are not solved. Position in the ranking does not augur well for the prize, exactly as the relegation zone was not close. The task was to go as far as possible in the standings on stage.

On the first day, the game was made up of a minimum, and the team with two wins almost secured a way out of the group. Do no harm, thus, did not work. The command «Hellwood Paris “, thanks to defeat us had left the group and was not able to keep second place rating, which allowed them to qualify for the Pro. With a team of «Warsaw United” a similar story. Our victory over them did not give them the opportunity to leave the group and get a chance to stay in the division SPL next season.

In the 1/8 finals we crossed with the team “Freestyle” from Russia. We have played with them this season, and in a very intense match, losing in the course were able to win 0-3 4-3.

This time, unfortunately, did not. The match turned out to be interesting, but many penalties in our team was not allowed to put this game in the category of very interesting! Six penalties for four games and losing the team «Hulk.”

As a result of the season, the team is located exactly in the middle of the standings. This is an appropriate occasion for reflection and restructuring in the team for next season!

Thanks to everyone who supported us, sponsored, and helped! Separate bow to our permanent partners the DYE Company and Autoradio.

Hard2Overcome – PAVS Series 2013 Champions!

7th September 2013 – The 5th and final round of the Paintball Association of Victoria’s (PAVS) tournament paintball series was held at Adrenalin Paintball Club. Dye sponsored team Hard2Overcome went into the final round looking to continue their winning run by taking out the last round of PAVS on their home field.

A mild overcast day was on the cards with the chance of afternoon showers and for once the forecast was spot on. From the first game the team found themselves under aggressive attack from teams looking to stop their winning run, but by the time the break for lunch came the team had 5 straight wins. The afternoon was mixed with wins and then some games being dropped when the rain eventually came later in the day.

But in the end it was enough and Hard2Overcome narrowly came away with another 1st place with 7 wins & 3 losses. The result that day had topped off a great season said team captain Craig McIver, as we had 3 new players come onto the team at the start of the year and we really gelled fast. They are great guys and we all get along, and I feel even though we are still getting use to each other’s unique playing styles we are really enjoying our paintball as a team. As a bonus the second H2O team H2O Blue came second in Division 2 which gave them enough points to take the series win in their Division.

Now with the PAVS Division 1 Championship to their name Hard2Overcome will turn its sights to the Able Cup 5 Man Race Event in October. We need to once again give a huge shout out to Dye paintball and Devon Stutz for all of our awesome gear that never lets us down on the field.

Wrecking Crew Grabs 3rd Place at Perth Paintball League – Round 4

New DYE Team Makes the Podium at Perth Paintball Round 4

photos by: www.wasppaintball.com.au

Wrecking Crew is a recent addition to DYE’s sponsored teams. We’re based at WASP Paintball in Perth, Western Australia.

A few weeks ago we played the 4th round of the Perth Paintball League. 2013 has been a strong year for us so far. We’ve been building on our cohesiveness as a team with our main attackers putting in work and our role players staying solid, allowing us to consistently place in the top 4 in the “Pro” division at these events.

A highlight game for us was close one against STK in which we prevailed. We lost our snake player on the break, but were able to fight back 4 bodies onto 5 to come away with the win.

The PPL is a round-robbin event with no finals. It relies a lot on just staying focused, playing it safe and minimizing mistakes. As the end of the tournament approached, Menace, STK and us were all tied, having lost 2 games each. All we had to do was win our final game of the day and the scoring system would grant us a hard-earned second place.

Our final game was against WASP, a group of experienced players, but they don’t practice a lot so you don’t know what you’re going to get when you play them. It was a long and close game almost going to time, but unfortunately they were able to pick us off and beat us, leaving Wrecking Crew with 3rd place.
We’ve like to thank DYE Paintball for our gear which was flawless at the event, and our home field WASP Paintball for their support.

-Wrecking Crew
