Dynamix from South Africa have been an absolute freight train this year!

Friday, December 27th, 2013

Hot off their victory in Malaysia where they were crowned World Cup Asia champs, the team had a few weeks off before their final showdown at Supercup in Gariep Dam for the 2013 SARPL title. The team had won several SARPL events throughout the year but it all came down to this final event to see who took the series win. Dye sponsored athlete, Max Lundqvist was at the event for a clinic and also guested on the team. The team’s experience showed as they dominated their final games and took the series win!! Craig Marley from Dynamix was kind enough to give us his feedback from the event:

The event was held at the Gariep Dam Forever Resort. A very nice venue albeit a bit far out. By Friday evening we had a full team at the event and with our tents pitched, we looked forward to a good event.
Saturday day morning the team met up with the legendary Maximus Lundquist. Dynamix was fortunate to have him as a guest for the team and to share some of his vast experience with the guys.  Day 1 was not as smooth as we would’ve wanted but we ended 2nd overall and drew Apocalypse in Sundays Semi-final.

So after an early evening at the player’s party the team came into Sunday ready to shine. We amended our game plan and pulled out a 2:0 win on Apocalypse. This secured us a spot against team Reaper in the final who placed 1st in the prelim stage.
The final was the deciding game for supercup but also the entire series as both Dnx and Reaper came into super cup on equal points. As always the final was extremely close and at the end it came to a1:1 draw. This meant that decision went to game times. Despite a 1 minute penalty Dynamix still came out on top.

A huge thank you to all the event organisers and very importantly all our supporters. Bnt and Dye as sponsors,  we could not ask for better! Blades and triggers were out in full force to back us. Much gratitude to Maximus for all he taught us over the weekend. To Jeremy from Dye, always a pleasure having you there. Thanks Troy for the teching and support. Lastly congratulations to Dynamix South African champs for 2011, 2012 and 2013!! Team members: Craig Marley, Chris England, Vivian Riley, Dane Carfoot, Sparky Smuts, Thabo Raphiri, Yosh Naran, Daniel Hertzog

FULDA Gap 2013 DAM Domination by DYE Tactical Team WCP!

Friday, December 27th, 2013

If you LOVE scenario paintball, with Live tanks, lots of HUGE gun fights, tactical advances, real paintball sniping and just tons of fun
then you need to come to The Fulda Gap Scenario!  This is an annual game held in November that is clearly one of the BEST paintball
scenario events to come to and experience!  Three days of great paintball with over 1000 players from all over the world!

Friday started with magfed only events, anti-tank battles and a Legends of Fulda showdown featuring some of the great past players
that have contributed to previous Fulda Gap events.  Plus we got to reconnect with all our paintball brothers and sisters that we haven’t
seen in a while and we met lots of new players.

Saturday we started the two day scenario where NATO and Warsaw troops battle it out over the hilly 70 acres.  WCP played on the Warsaw side this year and for two days we marched up and down the field shooting faces and capturing NATO bases.  The firepower from our Dye Assault Matrix and DM13′s proved again very effective to help secure the win!

Special thanks to the Command Decisions staff for always putting on a great event and a huge thanks to DYE Tactical for the outstanding gear.  This is one of those events that if you haven’t had a chance to attend, you need to put it on your paintball calendar and we will see you next year.

SoCal Ghosts festively recount Santas Vs. Grinches scenario.

Friday, December 20th, 2013

Once upon a time in the little town of San Diego stood a nice place, Velocity Paintball Park, whose staff was quite able. In winter’s chill, a war would
rage, ‘tween jolly Saint Nick, his red clad elves, against the giant green meanie, the Grinch himself. They would come from near, they would come
from far, they would come by truck, and they would come by car. Above them the skies were clear, a brilliant pure blue, and not a flake of snow below
them, on the ground, tis true! Velocity Paintball would be the venue this day and by its end, one side would hold sway!

To the first fight of the day, the horn did announce and the minions of theGrinch how quickly they pounced. Christmas trees with their tin and
decorations so bright were swooped up in a flash and in Grinch’s green might. Why even Santa’s milk and cookies, always such a delight, were grabbed
and gobbled and taken out of sight! “Ho, Ho, NO!” cried Santa so loud and so jolly. Off went the elves armed with mistletoe and holly. They pushed and
they pushed, and they fought and they fought until, it would seem, they would certainly foil the Grinch plot. Backed up to his lair, the elves with mount
Crumpit, the Grinch laughed his Grinch laugh and smiled his Grinch smile, then sent off his minions determined to stop it. Oh how the paint flew,
colorfully round as a cherry, oh how the battle grew, with the players laughing so merry. At the end of the first game there arose such a ruckus from the
Grinch’s dark horde that all those in Whoville already guessed the dark score.

“This cannot go on!” Santa decreed, “We must save Christmas! Press on, full speed!” Upon switching sides, the elves how they flew and quickly took
back most of that stolen buy you-know-who. The Grinch how he bellowed to keep up the fight and Santa he hollered to all a good night! The firing
was quick, the action intense, both sides pressed hard but kept up their defense. Bunkers blew as rockets flew and sometimes one couldn’t tell who was
who but the second round belonged, by the end of the day, to the boys and girls in red, and led Santa to say “Thank you all who fought so quick
against the greenies who acted so slick and I hope and I hope with all my elfish might that we made it stick and we won back the fight!”

And while they enjoyed the victory so deserved, they were all rightly shocked when the news they had heard. Christmas was lost, upon that snowless
field, to the Grinch with his sneer and to those whom he had appealed. As the night came the little ones sat, in their little red shirts and their little red
hats. There they would cry, “Oh Santa! The Grinch he won! You said he was through!” Santa just sat there, a little less merry for it was true. Then he
spoke to the children, “We just couldn’t stop him, I’m ever so sorry.” and sulked away a little less jolly.

Don’t worry though Santa, and kids don’t you fear, for the Grinch may have stolen Christmas but there’s always next year!
