2013 PSP Dallas Open – Prelims Recap & Photo Gallery

Posted on March 17th, 2013

The dust has cleared and four DYE teams have survived round one of the 2013 PSP Dallas Open.  Making the Sunday Club at this event are:

*PRO – Los Angels Ironmen

*PRO – Tampa Bay Damage

*D1 – Royalty (San Jose)

*D1 – Wolfpack (New Jersey)

A big congrats goes out to CEP who made a statement at this event finishing the prelims 2-2, their best pro finish to date!  TonTon also proved themselves worthy of the Champions division, just barely missing a 3-1 finish with an overtime match against Infamous.  They would finish 2-2 and secure a top 10 spot.

2013 PSP Dallas Open – Thursday Recap

Posted on March 15th, 2013

The 2013 PSP Dallas Open has officially begun, an event set to be one of the most exciting professional paintball tournaments to date.

Thursday’s story of the day was without a doubt Chattanooga CEP grabbing an epic win over San Antonio X-Factor 7-1.  CEP has struggled since their pro debut, but it appears new team owner Steve Nicola and captain Robbie Goldsmith have made all the right moves during this crazy offseason and have built a more competitive squad for 2013.

Damage casually picked up 7-1 and 7-3 wins over Aftershock and Vicious, although 2012 PBA MVP Jason Edwards was disappointed in their margins.

Hard2Overcome (H2O) Wins PAVS Series Event #1

Posted on March 7th, 2013

24th February – Saw Round 1 of the Paintball Association Of Victoria’s (PAVS) tournament paintball series kick off at Snipers Den Moorabbin on a very hot and humid day with temperatures reaching 36c / 97f

This State wide two division event was sporting a shiny new Dye PSP bunker set supplied by Paintball Addiction, the local Dye agent and major sponsor of the event.

The start of the new season of PAVS also saw Dye Paintball sponsoring the local team Hard2Overcome (H2O) in Division 1, who took to the field dressed head to toe in Dye’s 2013 playing including DM13’s and shooting Dye’s CG Paintballs.

The day didn’t start well for Hard2Overcome when they dropped their first game, but the team decided to stick with the game plan and if needed tweak it slightly as the day went on. By the time the lunch break came they were sitting on 4 wins 1 loss and were looking forward to resuming after the break.

Teams from both divisions were playing extremely fast paintball in ridiculous heat and Refs Inc were doing an outstanding job making sure the games ran smoothly while being fed large amounts of water to combat the heat of the day.

The afternoon session had Hard2Overcome pick up where they left off with solid wins which continued into the final round and as it would happen, the final game of the day. The team full of confidence went up against local team Havoc who are known for long hard gun battles, in the end Hard2Overcome got on top and came away with another win.

The win capped off a great event for the team and saw them take 1st Place with 9 Wins 1 Loss ahead of the nearest team on 6 Wins.

Captain of Hard2Overcome Craig McIver said he was “proud of his team, which has seen three new players come onboard and the team at the end of the day was really gelling together. Our DM’s were shooting so smooth all day and the Dye CG paintballs were hitting their targets with pin point accuracy and is the best paint we have ever used. We need to thank Dye Asia and Devon Stutz for showing faith in us and supporting the team, and we are excited to be taking the field every round this year using Dye.”

DYE PRECISION NOW AN OFFICIAL PAINT SPONSOR OF THE PSP

Posted on February 22nd, 2013

PRESS RELEASE:

DYE PRECISION NOW AN OFFICIAL PAINT SPONSOR OF THE PSP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

San Diego, California (February 22nd 2013)- DYE is excited to announce they have become an official paintball sponsor for the 2013 PSP Season.  All of DYE’s flagship teams will be shooting DYE Competition Grade (CG) Paintballs this year, including (but not limited to) the Los Angeles Ironmen, Tampa Bay Damage, and Toulouse TonTons.

DYE CG was introduced to the competitive paintball scene last year in the 2012 Millennium Series.  The resulting praise for it’s elevated level of performance created an overwhelming demand for the product, the high demand was at such a level DYE felt compelled to enter the US market by supporting the most competitive league in professional paintball, the PSP.

CG’s Dyetanium dark navy shell provides optimal shape and roundness with unmatched consistency from ball to ball. The DYE CG fill contains a proprietary high-visibility mixture, providing definitive marking ability. DYE’s custom engineered shell creates a perfect balance of allowing the user to see the paint in flight, but not easily reveal your position to opponents. CG’s vibrant yellow fill has an unmistakable marking ability, which is of utmost importance during competition.

Meticulously engineered and quality controlled to exact tolerances, the new DYE CG Paintballs define professional level accuracy.
