“As on the first leg of the Millennium, our country, Ukraine, had only one team representing them at this event.  HULK is the only team that can have a positive effect on the level of development of paintball in Ukraine, and that is why we take our jobs so seriously.

It is no secret that the Millennium Series, for many years, is the second strongest league in the world, getting more competitive each year.  The CPL division for example is no longer dominated by the team “Art Chaos” like last year, after the first two legs this year they have not made the podium.

As for our team at the second stage, we did not have any easy matches. Not only that, but we also had problems with our visas and for this tournament we could only come with five players.

On the first day we played a game with a team from our neighboring state, “Warsaw United.” Calmly controlling the game and taking the lead 3-1, we lost concentration and made a number of forced errors, including a penalty for deadman talking, leaving the field without hand on head, etc. Opponent equalized and we had to spend a nervous game that would bring the match to 4-3.

In the second match we played with the podium team of the first stage and, looking at the front of say, the winner of the second stage in Bitburg, a British team “London Tigers.” The first two games were in favor of the British, but then we regrouped and were able to even the score in a matter of seconds before the end of normal time. In overtime, losing two players from breakout and having problems with the gun, we were still able to achieve a positive result, becoming the only team to beat the “Tigers” in the tournament.

Despite the two wins, a modest difference in the two games did not allow us the luxury of losing in Saturday’s match. And our opponent, former permanent “resident” of CPL team from Stockholm, “Ignition” to leave the group also hosts a victory.

As in the match against the Poles we are confident and controlled the game for three and a half minutes before the end of the match were 2-0. But in the next game we were again “visited” by penalty immediately after breakout and we gave point less than a minute. With the score 2-1 in our favor, and 2.5 minutes of playing time, the game evolved in our favor, as long as 15 seconds before the end, we did not get another penalty for deadman talking and the opponent has pressed the button. All this did not happen without the controversial decisions of the refs, but in fact we had to play overtime, in which a number is not correct decisions led to the fact that four of our players lost the two rivals. Lose with a score of 2:3 and full equal in points with the “Stockholm Ignition», which is the result of a personal meeting, left the group. And we, unfortunately, as in the first stage, did not have a single point to enter the next round of the competition!

At the end of the second stage we can talk about the realities of this season, and its regularity. Objectively, the team is unlikely to qualify for a prize in the division SPL. 19 and 18 places on the first two stages left only theoretical chances of success. The team is actually strengthened compared to the previous season, where the case was a disastrous match, which could result if not dry, then 5-1 is not in our favor. This season we can talk more about the game and the failed problems with discipline than about not ready for the game in general. For 5 official tournaments this season, we never lost with a difference, more than the 1 point. In some matches we did comeback in the 3-4 points. But, again, a large number of penalties and the lack of 100% concentration throughout the game do not give us the confidence to beat their rivals on the European stage.

We still have to improve our game and to make good use the experience to achieve the coveted victories in the future!

We would like to thank the guys from “Kosmos” and other teams for help with in pits and coaching, as well as to all those who produce our project continues to exist and develop, namely Iaroslav and Oksana, coach Alexander, DYE for the equipment, as well as our friends and partners – Autoradio!”

TonTon Win Back-to-Back Millennium Series Events

Wednesday, May 29th, 2013

TonTon are back on top.

After a win at the 2013 European Masters Millennium Series event TonTon are currently the #1 ranked professional paintball team in Europe, as well as an elite member of the PSP Champions Division.  With five more PSP/Millennium tournaments left to go in the 2013 season,  how great of a year can the TonTon have?  For this team… the sky is the limit.

Here are some words from Loic Voulot of TonTon after their win at Millennium Series Event #2 – The European Masters in Bitburg, Germany:

“After winning the first Millenium event in Frejus, getting qualified for the Champions Division at PSP Dallas, kept our spot at MAO, we have won again last weekend at the second Millenium event in Germany!

Winning 2 events in a raw is never easy, especially this season. The Millenium Series level has been increased by three US teams, the two Russians teams are strong as usual, and none of the 16 CPL teams are easy to play.

During this german event, as at the first one in France, we had to beat all three of those PSP teams to win the tournament.

The first day of the event was kind of strange for us. Pascal Hausser (our team coach) and Fabrice Colombo (our team captain) were not there.  Their flight was delayed but we managed to play strong paintball against Outrage, then Heat, finishing the day with a 2-0.

Playing sunday is always a good reward, but it can be a disappointed day too if you don’t do the job or play well.

In the quarter finals we played against Infamous. We lost the first nine minute point which had Infamous leading 0-1, but then we scored one point, then an other, and won this game 4-1.

Our semi final game was against Impact, a close game where we managed to keep control on the canadian team to go to the final 4-3.

After three days of the tournament, we played against Heat for the second time.  Heat was leading 4-2 at 1 min 17 before the end of the game, forcing us to score 2 quick points to equalize then a third 17 second point to win this final. We did it, final score 5-4.  To score 3 points in a min to Heat prove that the team is able to play on different rhythms, slow or fast regarding what is needed.

The CG paint, shot by the DM13 was absolutely perfect, brittle and accurate, for sure a BIG part of this win.

What a great 2013 season start for the team! If we want to be considerate as a world class team, we need to confirm those good results in Chicago during the next PSP event. This is why we’ll practice hard for the next four weeks.

Thanks to all the people rooting for us.
