MPOC # 4

A “WOW!” for Team Duckside. The Team emerged as champions at the Fourth Leg Of Malaysia Paintball Official Circuit (MPOC) 2013.  We are happy that our hard work and determination have paid off!

With this win, we succeeded in rank 1st in the overall line up.  However, without the side line support from our sponsors – DYE Precision and 89 Arena Paintball, and the amazing participating teams, we would not be where we are now.

With this humble thought, we would like to share our happiness and this champion trophy with all our beloved supporters out there. Despite the streaking heat and the heavy haze, they gave us unconditional help and guidance during the games.

Till we all meet again soon, Next game… Be Safe, Play Safe. Take care. CHEERS!

TonTon Win Back-to-Back Millennium Series Events

Wednesday, May 29th, 2013

TonTon are back on top.

After a win at the 2013 European Masters Millennium Series event TonTon are currently the #1 ranked professional paintball team in Europe, as well as an elite member of the PSP Champions Division.  With five more PSP/Millennium tournaments left to go in the 2013 season,  how great of a year can the TonTon have?  For this team… the sky is the limit.

Here are some words from Loic Voulot of TonTon after their win at Millennium Series Event #2 – The European Masters in Bitburg, Germany:

“After winning the first Millenium event in Frejus, getting qualified for the Champions Division at PSP Dallas, kept our spot at MAO, we have won again last weekend at the second Millenium event in Germany!

Winning 2 events in a raw is never easy, especially this season. The Millenium Series level has been increased by three US teams, the two Russians teams are strong as usual, and none of the 16 CPL teams are easy to play.

During this german event, as at the first one in France, we had to beat all three of those PSP teams to win the tournament.

The first day of the event was kind of strange for us. Pascal Hausser (our team coach) and Fabrice Colombo (our team captain) were not there.  Their flight was delayed but we managed to play strong paintball against Outrage, then Heat, finishing the day with a 2-0.

Playing sunday is always a good reward, but it can be a disappointed day too if you don’t do the job or play well.

In the quarter finals we played against Infamous. We lost the first nine minute point which had Infamous leading 0-1, but then we scored one point, then an other, and won this game 4-1.

Our semi final game was against Impact, a close game where we managed to keep control on the canadian team to go to the final 4-3.

After three days of the tournament, we played against Heat for the second time.  Heat was leading 4-2 at 1 min 17 before the end of the game, forcing us to score 2 quick points to equalize then a third 17 second point to win this final. We did it, final score 5-4.  To score 3 points in a min to Heat prove that the team is able to play on different rhythms, slow or fast regarding what is needed.

The CG paint, shot by the DM13 was absolutely perfect, brittle and accurate, for sure a BIG part of this win.

What a great 2013 season start for the team! If we want to be considerate as a world class team, we need to confirm those good results in Chicago during the next PSP event. This is why we’ll practice hard for the next four weeks.

Thanks to all the people rooting for us.

Team HULK Proves They are the Best Team in Ukraine… Again

Tuesday, May 28th, 2013

An update from our Ukrainian flagship team HULK Kiev after a big win at the Cup of Ukraine May 19th, 2013 -

“This past weekend was the second stage of the Cup of Ukraine in 2013.  Even with the “new” organizers who had only three days to prepare the tournament, the quality of the event was not affected. Everything was done as it should be and all of the team and player’s needs were taken care of.

According to the schedule tournament was wedged between two European series, which seems logical enough. Those who play on the CPS could most effectively approach the stage of the Cup, and those who participate in the Millennium will be able to use the experience gained in the game on the field.

As for the games, the preliminaries were not a problem… we only lost one point! Perhaps it is no coincidence… the experience of winning with the guys early in the event inspired them to further victories!

In the Pro it was very similar, with the exception of Kiev Bears. They really do not feel comfortable on the field with this arrangement bunkers and conducted a number of successful matches are not which did not allow them to take first place even in the category of “Masters”. Instead, the Bears in the Pro delegated Scorpions team. It was their first experience of playing in the top but unfortunately, it does not become their most successful – the boys lost both games and finished fourth.

As for the winners, the most interesting from the point of view of the intrigue was to be a semi-final “Hulk” – “Kiev Express”.  They are one of the few teams in Ukraine who systematically train and participate in international tournaments.

At the last stage, we met in the finals. After the score was 3-0 in our favor, we began to rotate our playing staff to get match practice for all team members. Sometimes it can mean losing points, but overall it is good for the growth of the entire team. As a result, we ended 5-2 and in the final, where we were waiting for another Kiev team, ZZ Top.

Our team was traditionally supported by the best player from the 2012 season, Alexandr Berdnikov. His visit to Ukraine for the tournament – a delight for all fans of the sport. Playing against him – an honor for any athlete! To everyone unfortunately, the opponent could not find his best game, and even within the majority could not realize their advantage. Outcome of the game 5-0 and we win the third tournament of the season without losing a single match!

Thanks to everyone who cares about us and support, especially Oksana for pit support, our coach Alex Prystupov for the patience, captain for the organization and perseverance, Dye – for the best equipment on the planet, Autoradio – for many years of support! Special thanks to Ian Samoilov for the beautiful game and the experience that he enjoys sharing with us :)

Red Sevens Claims 2013 Malaysia Paintball Official Circuit (MPOC) Champion Title

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

Fresh from last week’s Singapore Paintball Series (SPS) 2013 Leg 1 which Red Sevens clinched a 2nd Runner Up podium finish, the team continued their fighting momentum to their next event in Malaysia and won the Division 2 Champion title.

Sponsored by Dye Asia, Red Sevens Paintball Club is based in Singapore and is one of the most prolific paintball teams in Asia. Formed in 2006, Red Sevens has won several international accolades in the Asia region including the Singapore Paintball Series where the team has claimed three Overall Series Championship Titles over the last five years.

“We are always on a lookout to strengthen the team and we are glad to have recently recruited Paul Atkin from Thailand who will be joining the team for the Malaysia events this season. Paul’s vast experience playing and will definitely add firepower to the current squad”, remarked Ben Seow, who captains the team. Since formation, more than 50 players from across the region has donned and competed under the Red Sevens brand.

In 2013, Red Sevens renewed their sponsorship with Dye Asia and will be shooting with Dye DM13 and using the Ultra Lite apparels for all their competitions.

During the event, Red Sevens qualified as the third qualifier after the preliminary rounds with three wins and two losses. During the Semi Final game, the team was scheduled to met Team Kraken from Malaysia and went away with a close 1-0 score in a Race-3 Format game.

During the Finals, Red Sevens met Team Simpsons, whom they have lost 3-0 during the qualification. A new game plan was devised to counter the Simpsons which saw Red Sevens claiming a quick first point. In the second point, Simpsons fought back hard to level the game. With time running out in the third game, Red Sevens were close to wrapping up the Finals only to have the game buzzer running out on the team.

In the overtime game, both teams were disciplined in their shooting lanes with neither team wanting to throw in the white towel. In the end, it was the Red Sevens who won the final point with Jane Koh hitting the game buzzer.

Red Sevens would like to take this opportunity to thank Dye Asia for their staunch support and their never dying trust in the team since 2010.
