Dynamix back on the podium!

Monday, April 14th, 2014

The boys from South Africa are back on the podium! After a dominating season in 2013, winning both the SARPL series and World Cup Asia, the team showed that they’re not slowing down and are as focused as ever. Proving so by winning the annual Sweetspot event hosted by

Blades and Triggers. Craig Marley from Dynamix gave us a rundown of how the event went for them:

Sweetspot 2014 was hosted at the Blades and Triggers paintball range in Boksburg.  It ran both 3 man and 5 man formats with two divisions for each, open and elite.  Dynamix entered in the elite division in both formats despite normally sticking to the 5-man format.

The 3 man was a lot of fun, the guys just got to go out and enjoy a day of “not so” serious paintball.  At the end of the day the two DNX teams entered placed 1st and 3rd. The 3-man was well run and we enjoyed the opportunity to play on Blades and Triggers turf field.

Sunday brought about the 5 man elite and the turnout didn’t disappoint, with 7 teams showing up to play.  The field layout was a tricky one to gauge but despite dropping two games in the prelim rounds, coming into the knockout rounds the team had warmed up to the challenge.  In the finals we came up against fellow BNT team Apocalypse (who also hadn’t dropped a game throughout the day). DNX managed to win the final 1-0, leaving Blades and Triggers with 3 teams on the podium.

A huge thanks to Blades and Triggers for the great prizes that they sponsored and the fantastic event they hosted. Thank you to Dye for the great gear we have the privilege of wearing. DM14 for the win!

Dynamix from South Africa have been an absolute freight train this year!

Friday, December 27th, 2013

Hot off their victory in Malaysia where they were crowned World Cup Asia champs, the team had a few weeks off before their final showdown at Supercup in Gariep Dam for the 2013 SARPL title. The team had won several SARPL events throughout the year but it all came down to this final event to see who took the series win. Dye sponsored athlete, Max Lundqvist was at the event for a clinic and also guested on the team. The team’s experience showed as they dominated their final games and took the series win!! Craig Marley from Dynamix was kind enough to give us his feedback from the event:

The event was held at the Gariep Dam Forever Resort. A very nice venue albeit a bit far out. By Friday evening we had a full team at the event and with our tents pitched, we looked forward to a good event.
Saturday day morning the team met up with the legendary Maximus Lundquist. Dynamix was fortunate to have him as a guest for the team and to share some of his vast experience with the guys.  Day 1 was not as smooth as we would’ve wanted but we ended 2nd overall and drew Apocalypse in Sundays Semi-final.

So after an early evening at the player’s party the team came into Sunday ready to shine. We amended our game plan and pulled out a 2:0 win on Apocalypse. This secured us a spot against team Reaper in the final who placed 1st in the prelim stage.
The final was the deciding game for supercup but also the entire series as both Dnx and Reaper came into super cup on equal points. As always the final was extremely close and at the end it came to a1:1 draw. This meant that decision went to game times. Despite a 1 minute penalty Dynamix still came out on top.

A huge thank you to all the event organisers and very importantly all our supporters. Bnt and Dye as sponsors,  we could not ask for better! Blades and triggers were out in full force to back us. Much gratitude to Maximus for all he taught us over the weekend. To Jeremy from Dye, always a pleasure having you there. Thanks Troy for the teching and support. Lastly congratulations to Dynamix South African champs for 2011, 2012 and 2013!! Team members: Craig Marley, Chris England, Vivian Riley, Dane Carfoot, Sparky Smuts, Thabo Raphiri, Yosh Naran, Daniel Hertzog

Dynamix take 1st at World Cup Asia in Langkawi!!!

Wednesday, December 18th, 2013

Dynamix have had a very successful year with a dominant performance in the SARPL series in South Africa. However, being the
competitive team that they are, they weren’t satisfied with success in their local series and decided to head over to Malaysia for
the World Cup Asia event so they could test their metal against the best teams in Asia. This was their first event in Asia and the
team went over focused and well prepared, they ended up winning the event!! Craig Marley from Dynamix gave us this report:

After a tiring 27 hours of travel from South Africa,
the team finally landed in the beautiful Langkawi
We were greeted by the pleasant and friendly Dye staff,
Devon and Ellen who handed over to us 2 Big Boxes of
Dye goodies with one of them being the all new powerful
DM14 along with the new Formula 1 Purple C14 gear – Purple Power! :)

Our first day we dominated all our prelim games.
We rocked with the new DM14′s straight out the box.
The feel of the gun was very different to the DM13
giving us more gun control and accuracy when laning.
Due to the new positioning of the fore grip and no
Microcline, making it easier to swop hands.
The gun is very smooth and gave us good air efficiency.

In the semi’s we played against Lost Boys, it was a tough
game but we ended up beating them 3-2 with one second left on the clock.
Our next game against Datis we beat 4-1. Which took us to the finals facing Rascals.

What a fight! penalties were flying everywhere. We were down 3-1,
only to dig deep and never give up! We won 4-3!!

Thanks to everyone that helped and to all our friends, family
and supporters sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the scores

Much love

Very importantly, Thanks to Dye for the great gear and the best gun ever – DM14!!
And thanks to South Africa Blades n Triggers and Haviannas.
Also thx to STK for all there help, was also good to see all the Dye teams working together,
One big happy family ;)

Team Dynamix on a Winning Streak! SARPL Event #3 Recap

Monday, April 22nd, 2013

Dynamix are on a winning streak, taking 1st place once again at the recent SARPL Event 3. Craig Marley gave us a write up of the event and shared his thoughts on the performance of the new 2013 Dye product line and Dye CG paint:

SARPL Event 3 – Sunday, 7 April 2013

We had just recieved our new Dye gear and DM13′s before the event, straight out the box, they shot like a dream!

The event started on a very cold Sunday morning putting the Dye CG paint to the test but despite the cold the paint performed really well.

It was amazing because we have only recently gone into winter and at the previous event it had been extremely hot but the Dye CG

paint performed in both extreme temperatures!! This paint truly is incredible!

Dynamix dominated through out the event not losing a single match or point in the prelims. Our new player Daniel Hertog got a

chance to prove himself on the dorito side, he communicated well and got a lot of kills, this kid is a good asset to the team.

Dynamix dominated the event, only dropping one point all day to take first place. We also got the fastest game of 31 seconds due to

the all new Dye ultra light gear. The DM13 out the box ran great and CG paint continues to impress us.

Thank you’s to:

Dye for great gear and paint.

Blades and Triggers for all your support for the last 7 years and are proud to be affiliated as a Dye BNT Team.

Havaianas our new addition to our sponsorship for our stylish feet.

Switch Multimedia for the great photography.

And a big thanks to the SARPL for hosting a great event and to all the teams that travelled far and wide to make this a success!
