Congrats to JESSE CORTES & BRIAN KRINKSY for winning this week’s Dye Paintball & Dye Tactical Friday Giveaways!

Jesse won a case of Dye CG Paintballs, DM Tech Mat and stickers by correctly guessing the number of Dye CG Paintballs posted on www.DyePaintball.com.  There are EIGHT bags of 500, plus one opened bag with 31 paintballs exposed.  We counted 8,031, he guessed 8,032!  Winner!

Brian won our Dye Tactical giveaway, we asked “What is your favorite Dye product in the DyeCam pattern, and why?”  We had a lot of great responses, but his made us laugh the most.  “The DAM… because a DyeCam kill is a dish best served in DyeCam Camo!”  Nice answer.  Runner up goes to Gary Boos who answered “The Dye Rotor… because it doesn’t matter what kind of marker or color, a DyeCam Rotor still looks DAM good.”

Thanks to everyone who participated, and watch out for this Friday’s giveaway on Facebook & Instagram!

Big congrats goes out to BILLY AMERSHEK and JONATHAN LAURENCE for winning June’s Friday Giveaway contests!

Billy won our Dye CG Paintball contest.  We asked what our fans favorite quality of the Dye CG Paintball is.  He answered “My favorite part about Dye CG paint is how well it shot at PSP Dallas! The Dye paint shot amazing all event long, and the self standing bags are very convenient, great job Dye!”

Thanks Billy, your case of paint & other goodies are on the way.

Jonathan won a SIGNED old school LA Ironmen Jersey by guessing how many paintballs the Ironmen shot at PSP Chicago.  His guess – 184,000 paintballs was right on the money!  (That’s 92 cases)

Nice work Jonathan, your Jersey is also on the way.

Millennium Series | Campaign Cup – London

The Millennium series 3rd leg takes us to a unique corner of England. Basildon, Essex. Where the fake-tan girls are as orange as the fruit, and the gym-happy men clearly missed the importance of legs day. They must be doing something right though, as every year we have been in Basildon the weather has been amazing.

Interesting locals aside, I actually quite enjoy this event. Partly because you aren’t playing lucky dip when choosing food on the menu, partly because its only an hour from home, but mainly because its a well run event, and although its the smaller event in terms of team numbers, the Nations Cup event adds an extra bit of fun for everyone.

The continued theme of having no traditional back-centre bunker on the field has given everyone a new challenge this year, and it’s interesting to see how teams have approached this. Some have thrived and others haven’t. This field was no different, and most matches saw the bravest players on each team playing in the complete open space where the back centre should be. Trying to not blink first against their opponent.

The Pro division is getting tougher by the event as teams continually up their game. With the strongest team line up in the last 5 years teams cannot afford to make any mistakes, as there is a queue of quality opposition waiting to take advantage.

London Nexus committed this ultimate sin, coming out flat against Infamous in the first game and then letting a 4-2 lead slip against Marseille Icon to leave them heading home much earlier than planned. Toulouse TonTon fared a little better. Qualifying for the quarterfinals 2nd place in their bracket after losing to Frankfurt Syndicate on Friday afternoon. That would be as far as the current series leaders would go, losing a hard fought match against the impressive Art Chaos Moscow.

In the SPL prelims, semi-pro team Drammen Solid stomped everyone 4-0 and carried form through to a 4th place finish come Sunday, losing out to fellow DYE team Offenburg Comin At Ya who took 3rd to maintain their hopes of earning an automatic promotion spot to the Pro division next year.

Drammen Solid told us how they felt the event went for them,

“Even though a top 4 placing is good in the tough SPL division, it feels bad to loose both the semi final and the battle for 3rd. In the semi, Hellwood got the best of us in the beginning of the match and scored 2 quick points. We stepped it up a bit, but it was too little too late and we lost 4-2. In the battle for 3rd, Comin at Ya had watched us well in previous games and beat us quickly 4-0. Congrats to Comin at Ya on another top finish. We will return stronger in Paris and we’re looking for that win!”

In D1 Scorpions Milano continued their impressive run of form taking 2nd at the event and moving into the top spot in the series standings. They now made the top 4 at 6 of the last 7 Millennium events – only missing out in Bitburg last year.

Scorpions Team Captain said;

“Winning the head to head against London Defiance, allowed the team to achieved the top position in the Division 1 overall ranking. Getting the team even closer to their main goal promotion in to the SPL. With final results of second, third and second places in the previous events of the Millennium Series, the team is now preparing for the last event in Paris. GO GO SCORPIONS!!!”

D2 saw Bitburg champions Durham DV8 march all the way to the top 4 again, but the home win was not to be. However they now sit 2nd over all and are looking good for promotion to D1 next year – not bad for a team who has never made it to Sunday. DV8 seem to be benefitting from the Clint Moore | Art Of Winning training program!

Poison Ivy just missed out on another podium finish with 2 of their games going in to over time and one game running out of time. Never the less the Girls are still flying high in 3rd overall the highest position for a all female paintball team in a long time.

Division Three saw the Ugly Ducklings2 and Lethal Bizzle both came through the prelims 4 & 1, with Lethal Bizzle then powering through the knock out rounds and defeating the top-ranked team Apocalypse Brussels in the final to take an awesome home win!

The Nations cup provided an impressive showing of its own, with 16 European nations fighting out for the chance to be Champions of Europe. As the sun was setting on Saturday evening, just the usual suspects remained – France, Germany, Great Britain and Russia. Featuring players from the top teams in country, there were familiar faces from Nexus, TonTon, Vision and Comin At Ya. All the finals were very tight games, with national pride on the line Great Britain faced up to Russia for a repeat of last years final.

Shooting the awesome DYE CG Paint team GB took the fight to the Russians, but ultimately ran out of time with the match finely poised at 2-1. The Brits are getting closer to regaining the crown the Russians took from them last year, but will have to wait until 2014 for the next opportunity.

DYE’s European teams take to the field with the flawless DM13, combined with the unparalleled DYE Rotor and I4 goggle systems and shooting the supreme DYE CG Paintballs.
