GK Are Coming For The Title

Wednesday, June 26th, 2013

Created at the end of 2010 by former players from SPL, the Paris based team Generation Kill , gives everything to insure the victory.
When training 2 to 3 times a week all along the season the team are making multiple sacrifices for victory. In our first season GK won the 1st place in the Parisian Regional League in the SPL format (Like PSP with 4 points), and came 2nd place to Vision Marseille during the French National Championship. Then finally to end that season GK players decided to enter the last leg of the Millennium at Euro Disney, they entered Division 2 given that it was the highest division left unlocked, and finished the season there with a 1st place victory.

In 2012, they got the opportunity enter into the Millennium series in SPL (Semi Pro League), under the name Boost Air / GK, and received crucial support from Dye Europe providing them with incredible gear, guns, and the amazing Proto Advantage paint for training and the best paint ever; DYE CG paint for our tournaments.

Even with great support, the launch of the season was really complicated stepping up to SPL. However the players worked hard to compete with the quality of their opponents all along the season which made the event results get better .

At the end of the 2012 season, the team GK succeeded to reach the 8th place despite really difficult brackets throughout.

During the 2012 season GK also participated a private tournament series; The War Town Series, and they reached joined 3rd place with CPL teams, Camp Carnage and Marseille Icon. Unfortunately for GK only the point average made the difference.
In 2013, team GK re-entered the French National scene and won 2 leagues. First they won the Regional Parisian League, and then the French National Championship without a single defeat in 17 matches in SPL format.

Also this season they chose to enter The War Town Series again, and take their revenge on Carnage and Icon by beating them, and finally won the private series, reaching the 1st place without a single defeat.

Starting from the 8th place in SPL for the Millennium Series, the team GK is trying to confirm its success on the European scene by getting to the top of the series.

Unfortunately the first event in Puget (France) GK struggled to reach the quarter final, and had no success. GK was beaten by London Tigers. Leaving the team 8th position on the scoreboard overall.

The second event in Bitburg (Germany) GK had serious difficulties during the prelims. Struggling to keep a strong spirit on the field, they were close to losing their confidence. However after the prelims they reviewed their failures, and took the good decisions to ensure the success of the tournament.

After the prelims GK was transfigured, and beat Force Majeure Moscow 4-0, then fought another French team Bad Element and ended with a 3-0 win making them qualify for the semi finals putting them against Freestyle Moscow, and won yet again with a 4-0 victory.

Then came the finals in which GK was confronted by London Tigers and lost 1-0.

Tigers were playing really strong and efficient on both sides of the field.

GK lost the Dorito side players after a penalty, and also lost their Snake insert player directly off the break, leaving just 2 players alive; one in the snake 50, and one in the snake corner.

Tigers were luckier with 4 players alive. 2 on the snake side, in the corner and in snake 1, the two others on the dorito side.

Unfortunately for the Tigers playing on the dorito side, they were shot as they moved up by the two GK players remaining on the field leaving it down to a 2v2. Both teams did a good job of locking each other into their bunkers, so good that after the 10 minute fight the match ended in a draw. The draw led the semi finals to a 1 point semi final. Unfortunately for GK the situation remained the same, seeing its dorito side eliminated on penalties off the break, but this time Tigers were much more efficient and crushed the remaining GK players in a blink of an eye, then going on to take 1st place of the SPL division to Force Majeure.

At the end of the Millennium German event, GK took the 3rd position on the general ranking. Now all the team is working hard to maintain itself on the podium.

All the players in GK want to thank Dye Europe so much for its amazing support. The DM13’s shot straight, and the Dye CG always broke on its target. We are sure this combination is one of the reasons for GK’s success.

Also the team wants to thank its field partner Eastwood Paintball.
