Marcello Margott Clinic at Total Combat Paintball – Photos and More!

Monday, February 18th, 2013

February 9th, 2013 marked the first official Marcello Margott Clinic at one of Southern California’s finest paintball parks, Total Combat Paintball (TCP) in Chula Vista, California.  Here’s what Marcello of the Los Angeles Ironmen had to say after the event:

“Well, its safe to say my first clinic of the year was a success. Had the chance to meet some amazing field owners that in my opinion, are exactly what this sport needs if we want to grow. Diana J Ocampo and her business partner Julio at Total Combat Paintball are true ambassadors of our sport. Their mission is to generate as much new interest in paintball as possible and I fully support them and their field. It was a pleasure working with people who truly care about the growth of paintball as a community as much as I do. I can’t wait to play there again.

The morning started with greetings and small talk while we all geared up. All the kids seemed very excited, and very happy to be there playing paintball, I always love that. It’s amazing to see all of this talent around the globe, visualizing what could one day emerge from the raw talent of some of my students.

One of the kids was 12 years old, his name was Andrew and I can’t say enough about him. He reminded me of myself when I was 12, totally submerged into the sport of paintball and its fascinating journeys during those moments on the battle field. He was fearless and always wanted to be the first to go in any of my drill exercises. Another kid was recovering from a knee surgery to have a unexpected tumor removed. His enthusiasm and dedication kept a smile on my face all day as he put in the maximum amount of effort in each and every lesson. I don’t want to leave anyone out, because all of the kids were more than awesome, but these two really stood out.

After going through a series of drills, exercises, and situational lessons I had a chance to play some points with everyone for fun to finish out the day. We all just mixed in and played games street ball style. I had a blast, it was definitely one of my more memorable clinics just due to the fact that I was surrounded by such good people. I look forward to working with TCP and playing at their field in the future.” – Marcello Margott #33

Wednesday, February 6th, 2013

Congrats Todd Warren on winning a brand new Dye Rotor!

For those of you who don’t know, the LA Ironmen take discipline very seriously.  If you’re late to practice, get a major penalty at an event, or disrespect the team in any way… you can expect to “Spin the Wheel”.  The Wheel of Death is a Rotor Quickfeed with some nasty punishments glued to the bottom of each tab.  Thanks to Todd Warren, the Ironmen have a new option to add to the Wheel… The Slipper Nipple!

Be sure to follow the Ironmen on Facebook for more chances to win great prizes!  Facebook.com/LosAngelesIronmen

Big Wins for DYE at 2012 WCPPL Las Vegas Open

Monday, November 19th, 2012

The 2012 WCPPL Event #4 – Las Vegas at Vegas XTreme Paintball was a picture-perfect way to end the 2012 paintball season.  Ideal weather, an excellent venue, and big wins for DYE!

After a very successful 2012 WCPPL season, Dye is proud to report that Team Royalty took some Gold home to NorCal with a well deserved 1st place finish in Vegas and a 1st place overall ranking for the season.  Led by the legendary Mr. Shane Pestana and featuring Ryan Martin and Tokahe Hamil from the LA Ironmen, this stacked roster fought hard to redeem themselves after the recent PSP World Cup… and redemption was theirs.  Congratulations to them, and  to Team Destiny’s Kat Secor and the LA Hitmen who won 1st place in Division 3, and Northside Empire, Vegas Xtreme’s home team who won in D4.

Dye’s booth at the WCPPL Open was hoppin’ all weekend long.  There were fun contests to win awesome prizes, an Ironmen poster signing, demo’s of the DM13, Reflex, and new DAM, and of course our tech support was hard at work making sure all of the Dye products on the field were performing their best.

2012 PSP World Cup – Day 4 Recap

Saturday, October 27th, 2012

Another day, another incredible set of matches brought to us by the PSP & PaintballAccess.com!

Saturday was crunch time, the last chance for teams to prove that they deserve to be competing for the coveted 2012 World Cup Champion title.  Two teams that are definitely in the hunt are the Los Angeles Ironmen and Tampa Bay Damage.  Both teams had close matches early in the day, with Ironmen squeezing out a win over Impact, hanging the winning flag with only 10 seconds left to spare.  Damage let their early game against XSV slip through their fingertips as XSV was able to upset them 3-2, but immediately stole their momentum back when they squared off against the Ironmen and won convincingly 6-1.

Off the field, the Dye booth tried something new & fun at this event, a ‘Polaroid Pics with the Pros’ session at the official Dye Photo Wall.  Proffesional players from the Ironmen, CEP and Damage were snapping pics for hours with their fans who all got to take home the photo and get them signed by their favorite players.

Enjoy the Saturday photo gallery, log on to www.PaintballAccess.com for the pristine webcast live from the event, and get ready for an exciting day of PSP Paintball tomorrow!

SUNDAY SCHEDULE:

Ironmen vs. Infamous – 8:00 am
