mepaintball.com 3-Man Event in Sharjah a Major Success!

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013

by Jeremy Klynsmith

“This past weekend saw the 1st event of the mepaintball.com 3 Man series sponsored by Dye and hosted by Sharjah Paintball Park.

Paintball in the UAE has struggled in recent years, largely due to a lack of support from the local fields to organize events. The guys

at mepaintball.com decided to take matters into their own hands and organize a 3 man series this year that is for the players and run

by the players. The idea is to run simple and well organized events to give the UAE teams something to play for, Dye decided to get

behind this great initiative and have helped sponsor the series.

There was a real buzz around the field, all the players were pumped for the event and games started to run smoothly and on time,

Ali Omran from mepaintball.com did an awesome job of organizing everything and keeping the games rolling. We saw some really good

games throughout the day, the Dye CG paint shot perfectly and it seemed like everyone had a great day of paintball.

Well done to Ali and his crew for running a great event, I know that all of the UAE players appreciated it and are looking forward to the next one.

PALS Thailand 2013… by Daniel Thong

“Our first PALS Thailand 2013, was an amazing experience, remembered it as fun, nerve-racking and an adrenaline pumping voyage. We appreciated each other’s efforts for making the trip a successful one.

Bangkok on the first day was like a bunch of walking zombies taking the earliest Air Asia flight out and it was our excitement that overrides our heavy-eyes and this magnified in greater altitude when the plane touched the soil of Thailand. We quickly hopped on a taxi and head on the Palazzo Hotel.

The next morning, all paint ballers were arranged with busses to the PALS battle ground and the journey was only 8 to 10mins, depending on the traffic. We were quite impressed with the fields set up as they were huge, spacious and well organized.

The pre-lims were a marathon race for us. We were all exhausted under the scorching sun but managed to ranked 7th place, pushing our way into the Top 12.

Moving from Top 12 securing 2 winnings and lost 1 during round robin enabled us to Top 8 battling against team Japan (Nippon United) winning score of 2-0 stepping nearer to our goal. In the semi-finals, we played against team Australia (Rogue Assassins) and it was a close fight with the last man standing, winning critical points of 1-0 entering the final.

The final was scheduled pretty much later on the same day and the weather was unpredictable. It was sunny and hot in the morning then cloudy in the afternoon and much later, pouring rain. Still, the game moved on and we had Team Iran (Griffin) battling for the champion. There’s only one word to describe the final, “WOW!”

The moment we had been waiting for finally came through. We took a deep breath counting the last 10 seconds with our eyes fixed on our next intended position; our fingers on the trigger, ready to shoot; our tired legs gripped firmly on ground, ready to pound and run; our body, soul and mind were fixated all at once in this few minutes against Team Iran. Suddenly, marshals’ shouted game on and there we were, shooting our opponents with all our might.

Unfortunately, favor for the champion was not on our side but to Team Iran instead. In the end we were the 1st runner up. Despite the lost for the champion title, we had a good quality game and gained priceless experience. We felt great that we had gone this far in this first PALS and felt joy knowing that we had great supporters who helped us through the finals.

The day ended with heavy rain in the arena as if the sky knew we needed a bath desperately. Last bus arrived just in time to fetch us back to the hotel as we had another event to attend that evening – The player’s night…..

Yup, celebration was on, at the SLIM in RCA, one of the best chill’ax places in Bangkok. It could not be more appropriate to celebrate PALS in SLIM, together with players all over the globe. We had fun enjoying ourselves with the live band and the F&B there.

Time was clicking away nearly entering Monday and we had MC on stage preparing for the price giving. Claps and cheers lasted almost 30mins for winning teams to the podium and we heard Team Duckside being called next… we sincerely thank to DYE Paintball for their high quality equipments, 89 Arena paintball and KCHL Paintball.

So for PALS Thailand 2013 the final result as such:

1st- Griffin (Iran)
2nd- Duckside (Malaysia)
3rd- Rogue Assasins (Australia)
4th- Blueblood (Thailand)”

Dye Tactical Friday Giveaway Winner – 4/1/13

Monday, April 1st, 2013

Thanks to everyone who participated in Dye Tactical’s first ever Friday Giveaway!  Many more to come on Facebook.com/DyeTacitcal

This week we wanted to know – “What’s your favorite vest + accessory combo?”

Chris Arnold gave us a great setup with explanations on why he chose each item:

“That vest you have there would do the job, but for my dream vest I would have to go with :
- Tac Vest Alpha (because of all that molle goodness.)
- Admin Pouch (for easy proof of elite player and for dropping your calling cards on the players you put into a dirt nap.)
- Tank Pouch (to hold your precious 48ci 4500psi Throttle tank.)
- Clip Pouch Double (for holding those sweet DAM 20 Round Mags, that your going to use to pick off unsuspecting players with your First Strike Rounds.)
- Dump Pouch (because even the trained Dye Tactical Elite need cookies in the field to keep them nurished!)
- Assault Molle Pod Holder 3+4 (got to have that quick release velcro straping for those hairy situations. Aint nobody got time to unbuckle!)
- Insulated Grenade Pouch (because I love to cook my grenades!)
- Unit Patch Pack (because maybe your bored of being a sniper and want to be where the real actions at with the Infantry.)
- Attack Pack Pro ( for holding more of that liquid gold Dye CG paintballs and besides you’ve grown fond of the name “Ammo Wagon”.)

All of the above is Dye Cam. ”

Love that setup Chris!  Enjoy your Dye Tactical Package.
