Team KU – Japan – Grabs 2nd Place at Taiwan 2013 National Paintball Tournament

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Taiwan hosted the recent 2013 National Paintball Tournament, and Dye’s Team KU from Japan made the podium.

“After one year of not playing an event with the team, it was a great feeling to get back onto the field with everyone. Our first event was in Taitung Taiwan. We were considered to be the favorites to win the tournament along side defending champions Team Storm from Taiwan.

Equipped with dye gear head to toe and shooting the new DM13s and Dye CG Paintballs, we finished the prelims in first place heading to the final round with confidence. Unfortunately we could not take that form into the final rounds and ended up 2nd overall behind Storm who defended their crown. Shortage on players and injury might have been a big factor, but no excuses, Team Storm were the stronger team and deserved to win.

We would like to thank team SplatZ from Malaysia for helping us in the pits and coaching us. Steven and Weili from Dye. All the participating teams for their generosity and sportsmanship, and of course the marshals! And last but not least our sponsors Dye Paintball for the continuous support.”

Dye Teams Dominate EPPL Salinas Open – Evolution Wins

Tuesday, March 19th, 2013

The first event of the Ecuadorian Professional Paintball League, right on the beach in Salinas City, was dominated by the DYE family of teams.

D2

1st Evolution (DYE Team)

2nd Zurikatas (DYE Team)

D3

1st Zurisilver (DYE Team)

2nd Evolution Kids (DYE Team)

Here’s a report from the event written by DYE’s own Juan Daniel Nebel Romero:

“Our first two games on Friday were against Evolution Jr who we beat 4-0, then we faced Manta Marines who we managed to beat 4-2. On Saturday we played against Monosalvaje and beated them 4-0 and finally against Kboom from Venezuela and also beat them 4-2.

We made it to Sunday, but we soon discovered that we would be playing against the other DYE Team from Ecuador in the finals, Zurikatas from Quito. After an incredible game, we beated them 4-1 and got the first win of the year.

We would like to thank DYE for the support at the event. The DYE Ecuador booth was amazing and the tech service was on point. Also thanks to DYE for the amazing paint, it was by far the best paint there and between that and the DM13, we were making G’s off the break in high numbers.

2013 PSP Dallas Open – Prelims Recap & Photo Gallery

Sunday, March 17th, 2013

*PRO – Los Angels Ironmen

*PRO – Tampa Bay Damage

*D1 – Royalty (San Jose)

*D1 – Wolfpack (New Jersey)

A big congrats goes out to CEP who made a statement at this event finishing the prelims 2-2, their best pro finish to date!  TonTon also proved themselves worthy of the Champions division, just barely missing a 3-1 finish with an overtime match against Infamous.  They would finish 2-2 and secure a top 10 spot.

2013 PSP Dallas Open – Thursday Recap

Friday, March 15th, 2013

The 2013 PSP Dallas Open has officially begun, an event set to be one of the most exciting professional paintball tournaments to date.

Thursday’s story of the day was without a doubt Chattanooga CEP grabbing an epic win over San Antonio X-Factor 7-1.  CEP has struggled since their pro debut, but it appears new team owner Steve Nicola and captain Robbie Goldsmith have made all the right moves during this crazy offseason and have built a more competitive squad for 2013.

Damage casually picked up 7-1 and 7-3 wins over Aftershock and Vicious, although 2012 PBA MVP Jason Edwards was disappointed in their margins.

Here are some photos from Thursday’s games, check out the Dye Blog and Dye on Instagram @DYEPaintball for more photos from PSP Dallas!
