DYE PAINTBALL AND TEAM IRONMEN SIGN MARCELLO MARGOTT

Thursday, December 13th, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

San Diego, California (December 13th 2012)

DYE is proud to announce that Marcello Margott, PSP World Champion, former Ironmen player and PBA’s 2012 #2 ranked player in the world, has returned to his roots by signing a multi-year contract with Dye and their flagship team, the Los Angeles Ironmen.

Living just minutes away from Dye’s corporate Headquarters in San Diego, Marcello has been a part of the DYE family since he was 11 years old and just starting his paintball career. At the age of 17, Marcello made his pro debut with the Ironmen, winning two back-to-back championships in 2007 and 2008. It’s fitting he makes his return to the team while he is at the top of his game. Marcello is a born winner and a stand out professional who is prepared to put in the work it’s going to take to bring the Ironmen back to the top of the PSP.

“We are excited about Marcello’s return to the Ironmen and the Dye family. I’ve known Marcello since he was a kid and a rookie on the pro scene. Over the years I’ve seen him grow into one of the top players in the game and mature as a person to be a leader on and off the field. He is a natural fit for Dye and the Ironmen.” –Mikko Huttunen, Vice President Dye Precision, retired Ironmen All-Star

“Home is where the heart is… I’ve traveled around with a few different teams for the past four seasons and it feels great to land back with Dye. There’s no reason for the Ironmen not to be a championship level team this year.” – Marcello Margott

Aruba Madness Makes Their Mark at 2012 PSP World Cup

Monday, December 10th, 2012

Aruba Madness makes their mark on World Cup 2012

Aruba Madness, a DYE sponsored team from the small Caribbean Island, Aruba, played their hearts out this year at the 2012 PSP World Cup.  These beliers proved this year that it doesn’t matter where you live or how small paintball is where you’re from, all that matters is dedication, training, and heart.  For Aruba Madness, every weekend at practice, every tournament they played away from their country, every dollar they spent was all in preparation for the 2012 PSP World Cup.  Aruba is small, only 69 square miles, and a population of barely 100,000. But like many small countries, what it lacks in size it makes up ten-fold with national pride.

The team spent all of 2012 traveling throughout Latin America to larger events in order to find the toughest competition. They even traveled as far as Florida for a leg of the PSP affiliate league, the CFPS, where Aruba Madness Youngbloodz took first in their division.  When it was Time for World Cup, the boys from Aruba were confident and ready to represent their small country. They knew Aruba paintball could be competitive on the global stage, and they were ready to prove it.

The Aruba Madness camp fielded three teams for World cup this year. AM Kids played well for their first International event, placing just short of a Sunday showing. Aruba madness finished 1st in the prelims and ended up taking 6th overall in their division.  AM Youngbloodz powered through the competition, only losing two games the entire weekend.  Unfortunately, one of those losses came during the finals, and Yougbloodz had to settle for 2nd place.

All three teams from the Aruba Madness camp played with passion and proudly represented their small country all weekend long.  Thrilled at their accomplishments on Sunday afternoon, the team was not content to rest for long. Aruba Madness is already back on the training field, and seeking out tougher competition, with trips to more PSPs planned for next year. The Bar has been set and the goals have been raised; Win World Cup 2013.

“Aruba Madness would like to thank all of our local and international fans very much for all the support. Also we want to give big thanks our sponsors that made this year possible:”

DYE Precision Inc, Aruba Tourism Authority, Daniels Steak & Chophouse, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hot Triggers and Paintball Supply Aruba.
