Infernal & STK: 1-2 Finish at 2012 World Cup Asia

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

PALS never fails to put on a spectacular final event, with one of the classiest venues and extreme PR initiatives in paintball, the 2012 World Cup Asia on the island of Langkawi, Malaysia was a major success to say the least.

Dye is proud to announce that two of our flagship Asian teams, Team Infernal of Thailand and Team STK of Australia, met in the finals in Division 1 and brought both the gold and silver medals home to their trophy cases.  Both teams rolled through the prelims and kept their momentum going up until their epic finals match, which ended 4-2 in Infernal’s favor.

Infernal and STK not only competed at WCA, but also had the privilege of competing for the Inter Continental Cup, a division of it’s own that featured some of the most legendary teams in paintball like TonTon and Dynasty.  Despite the intense competition, Infernal finished strong with a fourth place finish, adding yet another accomplishment to their long list of success in the world of competitive paintball.  Congrats guys!

Infernal: WCA Champions Division 1, 1st overall in the PALS Series, and third runner up at the Inter Continental Cup

Last week the Los Angeles Ironmen asked their fans:

“How many total wins do the Ironmen have since the inception of X-Ball in 2003?”

Correct Answer: 140 X-Ball wins!

Where do the Ironmen stand against the rest?   The winningest X-Ball team in paintball is the Russian Legion with 164 wins, followed by the Ironmen at 140, and then Dynasty at 118.

The contest was EXTREMELY close, with five contestants all guessing within 10 of the actual winner.   The closest contestant was Joe (joeypopcorn), with a guess of 137 wins!  Great job!  Please check your e-mail and look out for a message from a Dye representative.
