On the weekend of the 14th and 15th of September I ventured North to Leeds, to play the annual StaarGate big game, held at the Powerplay field. This would be my first year playing Staargate, and having heard such great stories; with over 500 players attending, I just had to play!
Arriving early on the Saturday was great – there was so much to walk around and see; from a bouncy castle to a 20v20 speedball match. Once I’d set my tent up, I headed down to the staging area to gear up and take part in the oldies v young-guns game. We played two rounds of this and us young-guns won confidently each round. It was a great chance to play on a small segment of the field and get a taste for what the big game was going to be like!
The organisers of the UK’s tournament series – the CPPS – were running a Sup’Air mini game to give people the chance to try it out for the first time, so later that afternoon I hopped on there and had a blast – still rocking the DAM, ofcourse! It brought back some great memories from my days as a tournament player, and my equipment preformed just as flawlessly as it does out in the woods!
Sunday began with an explosive start and we quickly managed to push the blues right back into their re-spawn area thanks to some aggressive gameplay. My highlight of the weekend was sneaking through the bushes and winning a 4 on 1 – I mean it when I say this camo works. Take a look at some of the photos! (Credits to BradloPhotography).
Timing the last push perfectly with great effect, we managed to push the blue team out of the key areas thanks to decisive communication from our faction leaders. We dominated gameplay on the Sunday and we ultimately cruised home victorious. It was a great weekend with lots of exciting fire fights on the field, and a great opportunity to catch up with some old friends off the field.
Huge thanks to Shoreline Outdoor Paintball for by far the best scenario game I’ve been to all year and a huge thanks to Dye Paintball UK and Dye Tactical for the outstanding gear.
Catch me on Facebook @ WilliamCliffordOfficial and Instagram @wclifford93 for photos and videos from the events I attend.
The final stop on my war tour is a mag fed only event that I’ll be playing in Draklow Tunnels. So look forward to seeing some epic firefights!

Operation: Honey Badger
PRZ Paintball – Ontario Canada
by Andrew “WOLF” Critchlow
On the 21st of July I was lucky enough to attend the Awesome game entitled “Operation Honey Badger 2: The Return of Acinaces Dente” . What makes this paintball event special is that its a Magazine fed/Tac Cap ONLY game, which means you’re only allowed a limited amount of paintballs on the field.
Adam Collyer and his son Brandon were the creators of this Great event, and I thank them for such an Eye opening experience. As the Owner of a DYE DAM this was a dream come true, the opportunity to shoot with some of the Best paintballs around, using just magazines. 200 of some of the most tactical players I have encountered amassed at PRZ paintball, a massive indoor/outdoor facility that is an abandoned Hospital transformed into a Paintball dream, numerous 2 and 3 storied buildings, utilized for the most extreme sport.
A Mag fed game means you have to choose each and every shot, no spraying and praying, no painting targets trying to get a lucky hit. There were 3 snipers allowed on the rooftops using First strike rounds, Tactical lights for the dark hallway battles, and laser sights for spotting the enemy.
The game was a tactical dream, radios were used to coordinate attacks, and accomplish missions, smoke grenades were allowed outside to cover shooters from sniper fire, and a lot of amazing props were used to enhance the atmosphere, Missiles, Radar stations, and bio weapons made for an Epic experience.
I had the Honor to meet many players, and giveaway some cool DYE Gear, and I can’t wait to do it again Next Year!!!

**Update** – Video from the event is live!
What an event! The 2013 Invasion of Normandy Scenario Game at Skirmish USA in Albrightsville, PA was a major success on all fronts. Over 4,000 players gathered from all over the USA to reenact one the most historic battles in US History, paintball markers in hand.
Dye Tactical brought a lot of firepower to this event, including our full Dye Tactical Truck Booth complete with the full line of Dye and Dye Tactical paintball products, plenty of DAM’s, Reflexes, and DM13′s to demo out to anyone with an ID & Credit Card, and of course the Tactical Ironmen who helped the Germans grab a win on the field.
We appreciate everyone who stopped by the booth, whether it was to purchase a hot new Dye product, test out one of our markers, or just say hey to Rocky, Mr. U & the rest of the Dye crew. Also a big thanks goes out to Paul, Sky, and the Skirmish USA crew who never fail to put on an epic paintball event year after year.

Team Bravo Company from South Africa recently won the 4th event of the Gauteng Bushball Series held at Paintball City in South Africa. Len Nery from Bravo
Company gave us a report of the event.
“The tournament attracted 12 teams comprising of seven playing members with two reserve players and was run using a round robin into single elimination format.
Thanks to the accuracy of our DYE Assault Matrix (DAM) markers, we didn’t lose a single game throughout the day and we rounded it off with a resounding 7 – 0
victory over our closest rivals in the finals equating to an emphatic overall win!
During the prize giving ceremony it was announced that Bravo Company broke two field records and won the prize for the two fastest games of the day by eliminating all seven of the opposing team in a time of 1 minute 40 seconds on the Village Field and 2 minutes 20 seconds on the Castle Field.
Paintball City Germiston and its staff provided the perfect platform for another outstanding tournament at a world class venue and it seems fitting that Bravo Company reached an important milestone at this event by coming the first team to win every tournament entered during 2013 in addition to securing first place overall in two league events (the Gauteng Bushball Series and the Tactical Paintball Series) within the first half of the year.
The enormous growth of this sport has seen more and more tournaments being held to cater for all the tactical bush teams and this has translated into two recognized series events each attracting up to 16 teams per event. In addition, there will be a South African Cup final for all qualifying teams to determine the best Tactical Bushball team in South Africa. The event will be held during the first week of December 2013 at Gariep Dam situated in the centre of South Africa.
Using our Dye Assault Matix markers, Bravo company aim to step onto the top step of that podium!”
